Dr. Paul Bishop

Dr. Paul Bishop is a Board Certified Foot and Ankle Surgeon by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He completed residency training in foot and ankle surgery in Houston, Texas, and has been in private practice in Illinois since 1996. Dr. Bishop completed additional Fellowship training in Ilizarov External Fixation and studied under distinguished physicians, Dr. Edgardo Rodriguez, Dr. Alexander Kirienko, Dr. Mikhail Samchukov, and Dr. Alexander Cherkashin.

Dr. Bishop’s special interests include: foot and ankle reconstruction, congenital and traumatic deformity correction, joint replacement, and sports injuries. He is a lecturer on Triplanar Lapidus Procedure, Subchondroplasty and bone void fillers of foot and ankle, complex fracture management, infections, trauma and the application of Ilizarov External Fixation. He participates in an international surgical foundation, performing gratis reconstructive surgery in Mexico for congenital and acquired deformities in children and adults. Dr. Bishop lectures and is an invited faculty at medical and surgical conferences in the United States, and abroad. He is involved as a clinical and surgical instructor/faculty of Podiatric Residents in Chicago, IL.
